Government Dental Vouchers
Access Dental Care Using Your Queensland Government Voucher
Aspley Elite Dental Care accepts eligible Queensland Government dental vouchers issued through local Hospital and Health Service (HHS). These vouchers are provided by your local public oral health service and help eligible concession card holders access approved dental treatment through participating private dental practices.
Your Local Hospital and Health Service is responsible for:
- Assessing your eligibility for public dental care
- Managing waiting lists for treatment
- Issuing dental vouchers when appropriate
- Determining the type and value of treatment approved
Our dental team does not issue vouchers or determine who qualifies.
Types of Government Dental Vouchers
General Care Dental Voucher
A general care voucher supports approved routine dental treatment. Depending on the treatment authorised by Queensland Health, your voucher may cover:
- Dental examinations
- X-rays
- Dental fillings
- Tooth extractions
- Preventive dental care
- Other approved general treatments
Emergency Dental Voucher
An emergency voucher is intended for a specific urgent dental problem, such as:
- Severe or ongoing tooth pain
- Dental infection or swelling
- A broken or damaged tooth
- Dental trauma
- An urgent extraction
- Another condition requiring prompt care
The treatment provided must match the services approved on your voucher.
Who May Be Eligible?
You may qualify for Queensland public dental care if you:
- Live in Queensland
- Are eligible for Medicare
- Hold an approved concession card
- Meet the assessment requirements set by Queensland Health
Accepted cards may include a Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card, Commonwealth Seniors Health Card or Queensland Seniors Card.
Queensland Health makes the final decision about your eligibility, approved treatment and voucher value.
How to Use Your Dental Voucher?
